Harry E. Dodds, 83, of Wintersville, OH died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Trinity West. He was born in Richmond, OH on June 10, 1928 a son of the late John Lester and Mary Jane Montgomery Dodds. Harry was retired from Louis Berkman Companies where he worked in accounting and management. He also taught school at the former Jefferson Union High School. Harry owned race horses and was involved in harness racing at the Meadows and Saratoga Racetracks. He owned an airplane with Chuck Edwards and was a graduate of Otterbein University. Harry served in the U.S Army. Preceded in death by sisters Betty Holmes and Kathleen Teaff. Harry is survived by his wife Ashby Coffman Dodds; son Douglas Dodds of Syracuse, NY; brother William L. Dodds of Toronto, OH; sister Marjorie Hill of California and niece Janet (William) Pillar of Toronto, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Saturday from 10a.m until 11a.m. Graveside services with full military honors will be held Saturday, 11:30a.m. at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, OH. Graveside services conducted by Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
