Harry Dooley Galvin 84 of Wintersville, Ohio died Monday, March 14, 2005 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville on December 17, 1920 son of the late Harry and Hilda Frankhauser Galvin. Harry was a founding member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and its St. Joseph Workshop. He retired from Weirton Steel, a division of National Steel, after 42 years of service as a machinist in the Steelworks. His other memberships include Blessed Sacrament Mens Club, Bocce League and St. Francis Society; Jefferson County Sportsmans; Steubenville Moose Lodge 619; and 25 Year Club. He served in the Army during WWII. Harry was preceded in death by his wife Bettie E. Luscher Galvin on June 18, 1999. Surviving are his son Greg Galvin of Steubenville; daughters Marlene (Frank) Hamilton of Weirton and Colette (Rod) Swearingen of New Albany, Ohio and five grandchildren Robby and Ryan Galvin, Ashley Hamilton, and Nicole and Whitney Swearingen. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben. Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Wednesday
