Harry Dawson “Daws” Irvin 83 of Jacksonville, FL formerly of Wintersville, OH died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at his home of natural causes. He was born in Steubenville, OH on August 8, 1920 the son of Harry and Goldie R. Hill Irvin. He was a caring , eloquent gentleman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Jean C. Jeanguenat Irvin, sons Paul and Kenneth Irvin, sister Elizabeth Pochuvay. “Daws” was retired from Weirton Steel, where he was a machinist. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He held membership in Pilgrim Lodge #691 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, Aladdin Temple, Columbus, OH, Steubenville Shrine Club, VFW Post 66, East Liverpool, OH, American Legion Post 33, Steubenville, Polish AC, Steubenville. He is survived by sons Harry C. Irvin of Missouri and Perry Dale Irvin of Florida and 7 grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH today from 7-9pm (ONLY), where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10am with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial Union Cemetery. Post 33 will conduct services at cemetery. Masonic service 7:30 pm today.
