Harry B. Monigold 92 of Richmond, Ohio died Monday evening, January 5, 2004, at his residence. A former resident of Wintersville, Ohio, Harry lived in Richmond since 1968. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 2, 1911 a son of the late George and Hannah Simpson Monigold. In 1973, Harry retired from Weirton Steel after 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by one son Jerry Monigold and one daughter Betty Baker; several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife of 73 years Catherine Fuzy Monigold, whom he married on July 28, 1930; three sons Harry (Ethel) Monigold of Toronto, Ohio, George “Bud” Monigold of Bullhead City, AZ and John (Helen) Monigold of Torrance, CA; two daughters Patricia “Pat” DeCesare of Wintersville and Kathleen “Cookie” Fellows of Richmond; daughter-in-law Dolores “Doe” Monigold of Steubenville; thirteen grandchildren John Monigold, Chuck Baker, Gary Baker, Bonnie Baker, Debbie Faylor, Mark DeCesare, Kevin DeCesare, Pam Carmichael, Sharon Wargo, Jill Fellows, Cathy Franzen, Todd Monigold and Theresa Hilditch; six great grandchildren Misty Barnes currently serving in Iraq, Logan and Jessica Faylor, Chelsie Carmichael, Justen Harry Wargo and Shasta Monigold; and two step great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11a.m. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
