Harold “Dick” Fithen, 80, of East Springfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Trinity West ER. He was born May 26, 1937 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Lester M. and Lillian I. Rogers Fithen. Dick enjoyed working and cutting grass. He retired as the sexton of Union Cemetery with over 30 years of service. Preceding Dick in death were his sister Daisy Dray and son-in-law Jim Mills. Surviving are his wife of 59 years Carole J. Sandy Fithen; two daughters Penny Mills of East Springfield, OH and Joyce (Dave) Shaffer of Sneads Ferry, NC; four grandchildren Erin (Jason) Alloggia, Gary (Anna) Yingst II, Justin (Chelsea) Braun and Emily (Joe) Carpini; six great grandchildren and sister Pearl Evans of Bloomingdale, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Thursday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. where a service will be held Friday 10 a.m. with Pastor Jim Gaston officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
