Harley N. Howell 85 of Wintersville, OH died Sunday, November 9, 2003 at Trinity West, Steubenville. He was born in New Martinsville, WV on April 30, 1918 the son of the late John and Sarah Welling Howell. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, where he was a millwright on the 80 inch strip mill. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorris Francis Watson Howell, she died in 1994, sisters Burnice Jackson and Mary Thompson. He is survived by a son William “Bill” (Wilma) Canterbury of Adena, OH, daughter Beverly (John) Moore of Rutledge, TN, sister Verchie Dodd of New Alexandria, OH, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
