Gwendolyn S. “Wendy” Hayes, 47 of Wintersville, Ohio died Monday, February 11, 2003 at home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Weirton, WV on August 8, 1955. She was preceded in death by her father Wayne Griffin (died:2000). She was a member of Weirton Heights Church of Christ and had previously been employed as a teller at Citizens Bank in Wintersville. She is survived by husband of 28 years Melvin Hayes, Wintersville, daughters Kacey and Lindsay Hayes both of Newport Beach, CA, mother Janice Dennis Griffin, Weirton, WV, sister Karen Griffin Henry, Wintersville. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. with Ministers Frank Higgenbotham and Steve Smithbauer officiating.
