Guy Welker Martin 76 of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Carriage Inn, Cadiz, Ohio. He was born on February 12, 1928 in Holmes County, Ohio a son of the late Guy and Edna Martin. He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Vernon Martin; daughter-in-law Pam Huff Martin and a niece Kathleen Martin. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Ohio State Highway Patrol with 30 years of service. He spent 13 years as Commander of the Steubenville Post. He is past president of the FOP lodge #97; member of Jefferson County Beekeepers Association and Church of Christ by faith. He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Shipp Martin (whom he married on March 22, 1950); his children, Thomas W. Martin of New Philadelphia, Michael J. Martin of Steubenville, Cynthia K. Hudok of Toronto, Danny R. Martin of Minnesota, Kim E. Martin of Wintersville and Cheryl A. Kleiner of Bloomingdale; eight grandchildren Paul Laman, David Martin, Rick Antill, Amy and Andrew Kleiner, Rebekah Martin, Dane Martin and Carley Martin; four brothers, Don, Harold, Bill and Jim Martin; five sisters Fern Pyers, Verna Watts, Garnet Deitrich, Shirley Klotz and Carol Martin; several nephews and nieces. Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert E.
