Grace I. Parks Wells, 84, of Hammondsville, Ohio formerly of Mingo Junction, OH passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born March 16, 1933 in Salt Run, OH a daughter of the late James R. and Mildred U. Butler Miles. Grace was a member of Unionport Chapter # 360 Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of Rosemont Chapel. She retired from Standard Carbon and provided daycare services to many children in her home. Grace enjoyed her trips to Rogers Sale. She loved flowers in the yard and in the house. Grace enjoyed farm animals, dogs and cats. Preceding Grace in death were her 1st husband Clyde Parks, Sr. in 2000; 2nd husband Claude H. Wells in 1995; granddaughter Tyra Grace Parks; two sisters Frances Arkley and Jane Blackburn; two brothers James and Roy Miles; step son Stephen Wells and one of the children she raised Pearl Bates. Surviving are five daughters Brenda (Dave) Chancey of Dillonvale, OH, Irene (Larry) Mitchell of Steubenville, OH, Margaret (Bill) Cade of Unionport, OH, Rose (Jim) Gray of Rayland, OH and Ellen DeLawder of Mingo Junction, OH; two sons Clyde (Pam) Parks, Jr. of Mingo Junction, OH and Roy Parks and companion Connie Culp of Steubenville, OH; friend and companion Jefferson Gough; two step sons Jack Wells and Gene Wells; one of the children whom she raised Cyndi Hoagland; 15 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Thursday 3 – 7 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Arthur Wells her nephew officiating. Burial at New Alexandria Cemetery.
