Gloria Doris DeCesare 77 of Wintersville, OH died Saturday, September 14, 2002 in the emergency room at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville. She was born in Bradley, Ohio on December 18, 1924 a daughter of the late Anthony and Virginia Pughelli White. She was proceeded in death by four brothers, James, Sr., Victor, William and Robert White, three sisters Lucille Rondy, Anita Laurine and Viola Pizzoferrato. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and it's Catholic Women's Club. She was a graduate of the Anderson School of Massage and a self cmployed physiotherapist. She was Wintersville Citizen of the Year in 1983, chairwomen of the Wintersvillc A rca Board 0 l' Social Activities. She had performed with Bob Hope in the USO and was crowned Sweetheart of the Navy by Admiral Halsey. She performed on Broadway at the 42nd Street Theater, and appeared in a Old Gold cigarette commercial. She served as a volunteer substitute principal at Blessed Sacrament School and conducted various plays and musicals for the children at the school. She is survived by her husband Chris S. DeCesare, daughters Denise Martin of Wintersville, OH, Janine (Robert) Gale of Monroeville, P A, Vicki (Larry) Gaston of Weirton, WV, Kelly (Steve) Konstan of California, grandchildren Marci, Barry and Fallon, sister Emaline Tucci, sister-in-law Clara White both of Weirton, WV. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary.
