Geraldine R. Murtland 85 of Mingo Junction, Ohio died Monday, December 9, 2002 at home of natural causes. She was born in Empire, Ohio on January 10, 1917 a daughter of the late Andrew and Elda Stillwell Jacobs. She was a member of First U.P. Church in Mingo Junction and an avid Bingo player. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Edward Murtland, a former Mingo Junction councilman, on December 3, 1990; one daughter Charlene Murtland; son-in-law Kelly Lonetto and one brother Robert A. Jacobs. Surviving are two sons William “Bill” Murtland and Keith Murtland both of Mingo; three daughters Wilma (Robert) Mucha of Albuquerque, NM, Nancy Lonetto and Cheryl (Jack) Brettell both of Mingo; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Avenue, Mingo Junction on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. On Thursday, friends may call at First U.P. Church from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Bongart officiating. Burial at Oakland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Valley Hospice or First U.P. Church
