Gerald E. “Jake” Hendricks, 77, of Wintersville died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Steubenville on January 3, 1938 the son of the late Harry and Dorcas McClellan Hendricks. He was retired from the Village of Wintersville after 30 years of service. He also worked for the Wintersville Fire Department for 30 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Martha Hendricks Calabrese. Jake is survived by his wife Paula Tucker Hendricks; daughter Virginia Hendricks (William) Reed of Crittenden, KY; son Scott Hendricks of Erlanger, KY; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Sunday from 1-3 and 5-7p.m. Services will be held Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 5p.m. with Pastor Randy Sells officiating.
