Obituary For Georgiana Hazlett

Georgiana (Carle) Hazlett, 101 of Wintersville, OH was called home to be with the Lord at her daughter’s residence on Monday, August 17, 2015. She was born on December 4, 1913, daughter of the late George E. and E. Hilda (Burnside) Carle in Brilliant, OH. Homemaker, mother of 11 children. She was a founding member of Wintersville Church of Christ, where she served as Sunday school secretary-treasurer for over 40 years. She was very active in Wintersville and Brilliant Senior Citizens Clubs. Worked election polls in Wintersville for many years. Loved traveling and sight-seeing in Hawaii, Alaska, the USA, Canada and Austrailia. Enjoyed Theatre, Broadway plays, Grande Ole Opry and Gaither Concerts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Hazlett, Sr.; her sons John C., Jr., Thomas E., James W. “Moose” and Robert C.. Georgiana is survived by sons Kenny (Barb) and George (Lynn); daughters Pat Baumgardner, Kay (John) Fuoco, Betty (Joe) Giusto, Nancy (John) Deneen and Carole (Bill) Knapp; 22 grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at Wintersville Church of Christ, 316 Two Ridge Road, Wintersville OH, on Monday, August 24 2015 from 1-3PM and 6-8PM. and also on Tuesday, August 25th from 9AM until time of funeral service at 10:00AM with Chuck Brettell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wintersville Church of Christ.
