George V. Pelegreen, 92, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. He was born April 16, 1915 in Parlett, Ohio a son of the late Michael and Clementine DeNardo Pelegreen. He retired as a bricklayer from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. George was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council in Mingo Junction. Preceding George in death were his wife Marine J. Cingolani Pelegreen on December 25, 1986; grandson Donald E. Wells, Jr. on May 19, 1986; four brothers Andrew, John, Telio “Buck” & William Pelegreen; and three sisters Edith Carr, Lena Allietta & Albina Cottrel. George is survived by his children Charlotte (Bob) Wasson of Wintersville, George V. Pelegreen, Jr. of Bloomingdale, Margaret M. (Keith) Cline of Unionport & Louise (John) Sliva of Columbus; four granddaughters Brenay Mulkey, Leann Cline, Danielle & Brittany Sliva; two great grandchildren Timothy Drake & Selina Mulkey. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2:30 p.m. with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio. Memorials may be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
