Obituary For George R. "Bob" Eddy

George R. “Bob” Eddy III, 62, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 6, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville on January 26, 1954. Bob enjoyed tinkering with his tractors, Lake Erie fishing and hanging out with his family. He was a 1972 graduate of Wintersville High School and owned Eddy’s Heating and Cooling for 15 years, worked at Forester’s Nursing home, and was head of the maintenance department for Jefferson County Joint Vocational School (JVS) where he retired in March after 18 years of service, where he loved working with the students at JVS. Preceding Bob in death were his father George R. Eddy, Jr. and sister Denise George. Bob is survived by his wife Denise A. Shoemaker Eddy, daughter of Jay & Pat Shoemaker; son Jason (Melissa) Eddy of Bloomingdale; daughter Sara (Patrick) Eddy of Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren Nathan, Nicholas & Alaina Eddy; mother Ruth E. Forester Eddy of Wintersville; and brother-in-law Larry “Scuffy” George of Bloomingdale, sister-in-law Lisa (Kevin) Miller, two nieces and a nephew. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 2-4 p.m. & from 6 p.m. until the time of services at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Jefferson County Joint Vocational School Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1509 Co. Hwy. 22A, Bloomingdale, Ohio 43910
