Dear Rick and family, I had Mr. Medich as my biology teacher at SHS and learned much from him (when he wasn't trying to convince Davey Zup that he didn't really see a whale in the river). Tho I was a "long hair" at the time he treated me fairly and gave me advice that I really did listen to. May God grant him eternal peace.

Dear Medich family, the picture of Mr. Medich literally brought tears to my eyes. Took me waaaay back to cheerleading at Big Red, and biology class with one of my favorite teachers. He was also friends with my late father (Bill Davis, one of the Hustling 8) Mr. Medich was loved by so many, prayers from Montana!

Dearest Medich Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy. "Mr Medich" left a very profound impact on me as one of his high school biology students at Big Red. I believe he was both a powerful and everlasting force in my scholastic and personal life. He was always encouraging and I believe, he was instrumental in my receiving an academic scholarship to nursing school to Kent State University. But I did not stop there, I went on to received a business administration degree in Arizona and am now living in California outside of the L.A. Basin with my family. Thank you, Sir! God bless all of you and may Mr. Medich have an everlasting life...Jan

Dear Medich Family, Just heard George passed and the flood of Target memories came rushing in. The 80's is when We made so many of our trips to the store just enjoying watching customers being taken care of till it was our turn. Working with George and Joe to get the best products for our nephews was a joy I looked forward too. Of course I was always looking for shirts to be embroidered for christmas presence. I knew I was getting quality when I entered the Target shop. Please accept our sincere condolences at the passing of a great Man

Dave, I just wanted to send my condolences to you and the rest of the Medich family regarding the loss of your father. Fond memories of course of your father as a teacher, coach, and business owner. Most of all though, I appreciate the friendship that developed between your father and mine on the golf course before he became too ill to play. The time they played together was only for a few years, but I know my father enjoyed the comradery. Of course your dad being your dad, my father always picked up a few pointers. I wish you all the best through this period of transition. With warm regards. Jeff Winick

Mrs. Medich, I was out of the country for a couple of weeks and just realized that George passed away. I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear the news. I first met Mr. Medich as a freshman at SHS in 1967. His bellowing voice really caught my attention. He was also fond of addressing me as "JB" (Jew Boy). I took it good-naturedly, as he meant it to be. Today, a teacher would probably be in hot water for speaking to a student that way but there was less concern about political correctness then. Kind of a shame in my opinion. Our bond was initiated by it and grew from there. I had the pleasure of playing golf with George on a few occasions, also. He was a true gentleman there, as well. I hadn't seen George in several years. I resigned from Steubenville Country Club a few years ago. That's where I'd seen him since high school, for the most part. All my best to you and your family during these days of grief and after. Rest assured, George will not be forgotten by those of us who knew him. Sincerely, Marty Hauser
