George J. Hruschak, 91, of Wintersville, OH died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Trinity West. He was born in Piney Fork, OH on February 22, 1923 a son of the late Dimitri Hruschak and Maria Smulchak Podolsky. George was Catholic by faith and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked as a machinist. George served his country in WWII as a member of the Marine Corps. In addition to his parents he was he was preceded in death by his wife Jane B. Ference Hruschak on January 9, 2014; step-father John Podolsky; brother Joe Hruschak and sister Anna Gualtiere. George is survived by his children John, David, James and Paul Hruschak, Margaret Hiley and Teresa Hruschak; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Services will be Saturday, January 3, 2015, 1p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: American Diabetes Association.
