George Henry Weiser III, of Supply, North Carolina, formerly of Bloomingdale, Ohio, passed away on January 14, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 30, 1947, a son of the late George H. Weiser, Jr. and the late Mildred Malandro Weiser. He retired after 30 years service with Verizon and then became an independent jeweler. George served in the Marine Corps, including a tour in Vietnam which was documented by his picture in the February 1967 National Geographic magazine.
George enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, showing his vintage autos and designing custom jewelry.
George is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Georgianne "Georgi" Gabsella; two brothers Paul (Alice) Weiser and Thomas (Kathleen) Weiser; and the families of Donna and Bruce Eastham, Joni and David Linch, Sherri and Robert Shaffer, Jr., Terri Donato, Edward Kowalski, Robert and Catherine Shepherd, Patricia Gibson, Mary Kay Mullavey, James Gibson and Andrew Donato.
Inurnment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery.
Local memorial services to be announced at a later date.
