George H. Thompson, 75, of Cadiz, Ohio died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Steubenville on November 12, 1930 the son of the late Herman M. and Lyda B. Miller Thompson. A 1958 graduate of University of Pacific in Stockton, CA, George was a certified public accountant owning his own practice. He was an avid book collector, specializing in H.L. Menken volumes and was a member of the H.L. Menken Society in Baltimore , MD. George also held membership in the Jefferson County Genealogical Society. He was preceded in death by his infant sister Jeanette. Surviving are his wife Dolores “Betty” Kukor Thompson; son Brad Thompson of London, England; granddaughter Claire Thompson of Wexham Bucks, England; sister Rae Sotraidis of Steubenville; sister-in-law Irene Harda of Steubenville; niece Marge (Tom) Wilson of Steubenville; cousin Marilyn (Tom) Williams of Wintersville; and numerous nephews and nieces.
