George G. Maragos, 80, of Toronto, OH passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019. He was born in Toronto on July 24, 1938 a son of the late Gust and Rose Rovnak Maragos. George was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, a U.S. Army veteran and he retired from Timet Corporation after 42 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Spiro, George and Teddy Maragos; sister Angeline Spanoudakis. George is survived by his wife Barbara Lee Petrakis Maragos; children Connie (Jack) Shea, Vasile (Cynthia) Maragos, Nick Maragos and Emmanuel (Mary) Maragos; brothers Nick, Harry, Theodore and Marco Maragos; sister Lil Safos; sister-in-law Evelyn Maragos; 9 Grandchildren. Friends may call at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Steubenville, OH on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at Noon with Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions to be made to: Holy Trinity Kitchen Fund.
