Thank you Mr. Eft for all the enjoyable moments in Boy Scout Troop 15. The days of George Eft, Dutch Reisling, Rev. Nimmo, Rev. Boomhower, and Bob Green will forever live within us: The boys who became strong and moral men from the sculpturing ways of true leadership. Thank you for the memories and direction.

I first met George when he worked at Ohio Power and while I worked at the City of Steubenville. I found him to be gentleman and conscientious about his work. Later, I came to know him better through Boy Scouts. George was always upbeat and saw the brighter side any situation. He would go the extra mile to help anyone who was in need. Men of his caliber are rare today and he will be missed by all who were touched by his life. I offer my condolences to the family. May he rest in peace and in the arms of his creator.

Tom and Don, even though I have not been active in Scouting for a few years now. I would run into your Dad working with the Red Cross. Thinking back, there was not a Scouting event he was not at. He was always ready to step in and help in anyway he could, With his bright smile and white mustache. Scouting was a great part of my life and we where blessed to have a leader like your Dad. Take care Larry

It has been a long while since I have visited my extended family in Ohio. My dad is James Graham, Grace's granddaughter. I just wanted to express my heartfelt sorrow for your loss. MaMa talked often of her beloved brother and although I did not know him very well myself, I know he was an amazing person, father, and grandfather. Knowing the sense of loss you are feeling, let me just say that my wonderful grandmother and your wonderful fathter and grandfather are together again reunited with their family gone before them and I hope you all will find some peace in that. Although they have left us, they will never really be gone from our hearts and memories. God Bless all of you and may you find the peace and serenity you seek in this time of loss.

I was very sad to learn that Mr. Eft had passed. I had just visited him this past October and thought he was doing well. He was a very important person in my life and his encouragement has helped me become the person I am today. I regret I am not able to make it back for the funeral. His life meant a lot to many, many people! My thought and prayers are with Don and all of Mr. Eft's family.

Uncle George will be greatly missed by all of my family. We always enjoyed his surprise visits to Birmingham when he was either dropping off or picking up cars. Mom and Dad had many fond memories of his visits to Birmingham when he was in the service and was stationed in Selma, AL. Our hearts go out to Tom, Don, Jennifer and their families. We truly know what you are going through since we experienced the same not so long ago with Mom's passing. Our love to all of the family, Paula, Michael, Brandon John and Lacey

Georges Family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I'm a Veterinarian today partially because of the summers I spent on Eft's Lane following George, my cousin Bob Lee and Wilmer Hibbits around the farm.

Mr Eft was a wonderful role model and father figure for lots of youth and during our summers at Fort Steuben he could always be counted on for a smile and a kind word. I don't have a fond memory from my summers on staff that doesn't include him. He will be missed.

Tom, Don, and Jennifer, I had an exceptional line up of aunts and uncles growing up in the Eft clan, and Uncle George, the youngest, was one of the best. He was always in the middle of fun kid activities - Scouts, hiking through Georges's Hollow, or baseball. His close relationship with my Dad and all their siblings has been a great role model in my adult life. Best wishes and peace be with you and all your families at this sad time. Ann Eft
