George D. Hellock, 90, of Mingo Junction, OH passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Valley Hospice. He was born on July 19, 1931 in Steubenville, a son of the late Michael & Anne Salaki Hellock. Preceding George in death were his wife Lupita “Peta” Patino Hellock; siblings Mike, Steve, John, Joe, Ann & Elizabeth.
After 42 years of service, George retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. as superintendent of the transportation department. He was a member of American Legion Post 351 and an avid OSU Football fan.
George is survived by his children Georgia (Hal) Dilworth, George Hellock & Greg (Nina) Hellock; two grandchildren Elliott (Samantha) Hellock & Danielle (Joe) Rogers; great grandchildren Dakota, Ayane & Paxton and two step great grandchildren; and sister Abe Yentch.
Per George’s request, all services are private. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mingo Fire or Police Departments.
