George attended Youth for Christ events when I did. I especially remember our participation in the "Great White Throne Judgement." We were in the group that heard the Lord say, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant...Enter thou into the joys of the Kingdom." From what I knew of George back then and the frequent times our paths crossed since then, I am confident that he heard those words for real! June Leasure, Barnesville, Ohio

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of George. I didn't see it in the paper until it was too late to stop by the funeral home. George and I went to Europe together many years ago and we worked together for several years back in his Weirton Steel days. It was always a pleasure running into him again. We always talked of meeting for lunch or coffee or some other reason but life gets in the way some times and then its too late. George had the nicest spirit. It's hard to believe that he has passed on. My deepest condolences.

We just want to say how sorry we are to hear of your family's loss. Our son Dean is friends with Elijah and Elijah has held a special place in our hearts. We also know Hannah as well. Dean is currently in Virginia stationed at the Quantico Base and not able to be home to attend the visitation but we know he is very sad to learn about your dad. Dean spent a lot of time out in Adena with friends at your dad's house and those are memories that he treasures. We also want to give our sympathy to your sisters Abi & Leah as well as the rest of the family. We are praying for you all. Mike & Denise Paxton, Yorkville, Ohio

I worked with George in Mental Health at BeCI for several years. We often shared stories and updates on our children who are the same ages. He was always upbeat and had a wonderful sense of humor. I will miss his near daily emails to keep me smiling. He loves his kids so much and is so very proud of them all. I will truly miss such a wonderful friend and such a great man. May God bless and keep you all in this time of sorrow.

It was such a shock to hear about your father. He was a kind man and loved his children. I worked with him at the prison and there were many times we would talk about how life was going with grown children. He loved you all very much and you have much to remember. May God be with you at your hour of pain.
