Dear Janie and Susan, Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know I am thinking of you and pray that God will comfort you in that very special way that only He can. I do indeed remember your Dad after all these years. I am living in East Liverpool and I always go to the Herald Star online to check things out "back home." That is how I learned of your Dad's passing. He was such a nice man, and I know you will miss him dearly. Be comforted in knowing that there are folks thinking of you and praying for you. Love, Donna Sue

Andrea - Susan Please accept my condolences on the loss of your Dad "Cookie". I am sure you were too small but we lived on Oregon and Aunt Lillian and Uncle George (your grandparents) were very favorite people of ours. I remember your family from when they lived behind them on McDowell and only had the greatest respect for all of the family. You dad never missed a chance to say hi to us as we sometimes cut up the alley to Rene's. I left after graduating HS in '55 but my thought go back that way often. You may not realize but we are related by the fact that my grandmother and Aunt Lil (corner of Woodlawn and Oregon) were sisters. So losing another member of our family strikes deep in my thoughts. Please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts at this difficult time in your lives. God Bless Al Rayl

My deepest sympathy to the family of "Cookie" Rogers from the Claremont Retirement Village. We shared the exploits of Big Red football from the Punque Cartledge days and served together on the Salvation Army Advisory Committee from 1972 I always enjoyed his stoical outlook on life and his sense of humor. He will be missed.
