Genevieve C. “Jenny” Thornton 84 of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Gables Care Center, Hopedale, Ohio. She was born in Piney Fork, Ohio on April 2, 1921 to the late John and Katherine Lech Ignac. Jenny was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and its C.W.C. Preceding Jenny in death were her husband Thomas D. Thornton, whom she married on February 3, 1945 and he died on October 8, 2001 ; three brothers Frank, John and Stanley Ignac and two sisters Ann Ignac and Josephine Scovronski. Jenny is survived by her caregiver Esther Hall and several nieces and nephews.
