Gay Ware, 90, of Wintersville, OH passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Salem, WV on June 4, 1933 a daughter of the late Orlando and Beaulah Agnes Matheny Davis. She was a mother and homemaker. Preceded in death by her loving husband George Franklin Ware; daughter Diana; brothers Wilbert (Martha Jean) Davis, Orlando (Alice) Davis, Raymond (Juanita) Davis, Owen Taylor (Louise) Davis and Everett (Evelyn) Davis; sisters, her twin May (Arliss) Freeman, Helen (George) Lattea, Betty (Bud) Combs, Madalene (Harry) and Wavealene Davis; 2 great grandchildren Kaylin Rice and Luke Cooper.
Gay is survived by three sons Kenneth (Bonnie), George (Nannette) and Donald (Ida) Ware; three daughters Penelope (Sam) Johns, Lori and Cindy Ware; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday from 5-7 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from Noon until time of services at 1p.m. with Pastor Craig Greathouse officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
