Gary M. “Hook” Carder, 61, of Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Valley Hospice Care Center. He was born March 12, 1952 in Steubenville, Ohio. Gary was involved in AA for 26 years and a former member of Boy Scout Troop 15. He worked in the coke plant in Weirton Steel. Preceding Gary in death were his father Argil D. Carder; two brothers Jeff and Mike Carder and niece Tiffany Lacko. Surviving are his mother Betty L. Tucker Carder; brother Richard Carder; girlfriend Karen Whear niece Alexis Carder; nephew Todd Carder and aunt Rosemary Kenda. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Monday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. with Dr. Rev. John Beard officiating. Burial at Highland Hills.
