Obituary For Gary L. Pool

Gary L. Pool, 59, of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, October 16, 2015 at Trinity West following a short battle with leukemia. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on April 17, 1956 a son of Franklin Gene and the late Davine Ingold Pool. Gary was a member and loyal union brother of Local 495 Plumbers & Pipefitters. He was a loving dad and Pap Pap and is survived by his children Justin Pool of Dayton, MD, Allison Pool of Toronto & Alexandria Pool of Wintersville; father Gene Pool of Wintersville; two grandchildren Lilianna Pool & Skylar Gooch; and three brothers Keith (Sharon) Pool & Gene (Kay) Pool both of Wintersville and Doug (Jan) Pool of Malvern, OH.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Wednesday 4-7 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Dr. Bill Lawrence officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.

    Sorry to hear about Gary. He was one of the Golden Warriors that we looked up to growing up in Bantam Ridge. He always had a funny story or different slant on things....made us all smile. I probably haven't talked to him in 30 years but this one stings hard. My condolences to the Pool family.
