Garlane A. Vandeborne, 73 of Steubenville, OH died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Bolger Country Club Manor. She was born in Washington D.C. on February 4, 1942 a daughter of the late Milton Arrington and Edith Taylor Arrington Butler. Garlane retired from Sewickley Valley Hospital as a medical staff secretary and had worked in her formative years at the former St. John Medical Center as a secretary. Her children and grandchildren were her life’s passion. In addition to her parents Garlane was preceded in death by her former husband Richard “Dick” Vandeborne. She is survived by her son Lee D. Vandeborne of Steubenville and daughter Cynthia (Lonny) Moore of Burlington, MA; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Dianna Vandeborne of Wintersville; grandchildren Evan Moore and Allee Vandeborne. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 10a.m. until time of service at Noon with Rev. Dr. Philip Makari officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
