Obituary For Freddrick A. "Fred" Newburn

Freddrick A. “Fred” Newburn, 66, of Unionport, OH died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at U.P.M.C. Presbyterian. He was born in Steubenville on September 23, 1950 a son of the late William and Dorothy Peterson Newburn. He was a member of Unionport Christian Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Fred was retired from the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he was a roll grinder. He is survived by his wife Kathy Hennis Newburn; daughters Meghann (Jeff) Metz of Unionport and Hollie Sipes and her fiancé Chuck Bright of Wintersville; brothers Blaine Newburn and Harold “Hawkie” Newburn, both of Unionport and Bob (Judy) Newburn of Mt. Airy, NC; sisters Bonnie Ault and Barb (Gordon) Merryman, both of Unionport, OH; grandchildren Gavin and Gabriella Metz and Tyler and Anthony Sipes; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday from 3-7p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10a.m. Burial at Unionport Cemetery.
