Freda M. Johnson, 96 of Steubenville, Ohio, formerly of Zanesville, Ohio died Tuesday, January 8, 2002 at Carriage Inn of Steubenville. She was born in Santoy, Ohio on July 25, 1905 a daughter of the late James and Vergie Savage Omen. Freda was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Zanesville, Ohio and a charter member of Good Samaritan Charity Circle. She was preceeded in death by her husband Henry D. “Harry” Johnson on April 26, 1972; one daughter Mary Louise Johnson and one brother Clifford Omen. Surviving are one daughter Virginia (Andrew) Fraser of Steubenville; three granddaughters Deborah Mosely of Columbus, Ohio, Susan (Donald) Teter of Morgantown, WV and Linda (Timothy) Smith of N. Canton, Ohio; and seven great grandchildren. Services on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio with Msgr. William Cornelius officiating.
