Fred M. Hutter 74 of Wintersville died Monday, May 26, 2003 at Trinity West, Steubenville. He was born in Martins Ferry, OH on December 31, 1928 a son of the late Michael R. and Adeline Morgan Hutter. He was a member and elder at Two Ridge Presbyterian Church, Wintersville. Member of Steubenville Lodge # 45 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville , Aladdin Temple, Columbus, OH, Steubenville Shrine Club. A 1949 graduate of Linsly Military Academy, Wheeling, WV. Served as a Staff Sergeant in U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from A&P Tea Company and Shop N Save, Weirton, WV and Wellsburg, WV, where he was a meat cutter. He is survived by his wife Josephine Swickard Hutter, son Jay Hutter of Wintersville, daughter Paula (Manfred) Ickert of Barrington, IL, brother Richard Hutter of Wilmington, NC, sister Nancy Young of Wheeling, WV, grandsons Thomas and Matthew Hutter. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Friends may also call on Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Two Ridge Presbyterian Church, Wintersville, with Rev. C. Robert Meyer officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will perform graveside services. Masonic service 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday.
