Frank J. Thompson, 86 of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, June 28, 2002 in the ER at Trinity West. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 5, 1916 a son of the late Walter and Mae Wright Thompson. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wintersville and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Scale Dept. and served in US Navy. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Imelda M. Freeman Thompson on March 1, 1995; three brothers Robert, George and Walter Thompson; and one sister Ida Mae Chiota. Surviving are one daughter Frances (Ossie) Toriscelli of Wintersville; one son William (Carol) Thompson of Brunswick, Ohio; one brother Harry Thompson of Steubenville; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday 5-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. Vigil services 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
