Frank J. Binkiewicz 81 of Wintersville, Ohio died Friday, September 19, 2003 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on March 13, 1922 a son of the late Stephen and Suzanna Bralakowski Binkiewicz. Frank was a retired boilermaker at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Fornari Binkiewicz; three brothers John, Bill and Stanley Binkiewicz; and five sisters Julia Soplinski, Mary Dignan, Stella Binkiewicz, Veronica Pancurak and Ann Binkiewicz. Frank held membership at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church; P.N.A. and American Legion Argonne Post 33. He served in the Army during WWII and was a P.O.W. and a Purple Heart recipient. Surviving are two sons Frank (Debbie) Binkiewicz of Charlotte, NC and Jack of Wintersville; two daughters Charlene (Jerry) Porreca of Wintersville and Christina (Michael) Findlay of Orlando, Florida; six grandchildren Gino & Dominic Porreca, Tera Zascavage, Amanda and Frankie Binkiewicz, and Colton Findlay; and one great granddaughter Promis‘. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass on Tuesday 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Monday Argonne Post 33 will conduct services at the cemetery chapel.
