Obituary For Frank Ernest Core

Frank Ernest Core, 91, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Steubenville on April 27, 1931, the son of the late Gabriel Core and the late Olivia Marinucci Core Brundage.

Frank retired from McKesson Pharmaceuticals as a sales representative and was a graduate of The Ohio State University. Frank served in the Army. Preceding Frank in death were his wife Joyce C. Runkle Core; infant son Gabriel and sister Barbara Caputo.

Frank is survived by his sons Frank Ernest Core II and Michael W. Core; grandchildren Rachel, Brianna & Anthony Core; great grandson Dante Core; brother James (Gina) Brundage; nephews James Brundage II and Rob, Rick & Ron Caputo; and nieces Dr. Renee Caputo Vaccarello & Rachell Caputo Mutillo.

Per Frank’s request there will be no visitation.

Private services and burial at Union Cemetery.

The family respectfully requests no flowers please.

I had the pleasure of meeting Frank years ago at the spot bar. And then our paths crossed multiple times since I worked in cardiology and I took care of both Joyce and him. The last time I saw Frank a couple months ago in the hospital, I sat with him for a while And just enjoyed our time together. Both him and Joyce were so full of life and I always had a good time talking with them. I will miss laughing with them, but as bonded as they were, I am so glad they are reunited!

My deepest sympathy to the family. I work at the Courthouse and loved seeing Frank's smiling face everyday. He would always stop at the bottom of the staircase and smile and wave. I enjoyed when he would come in and talk he was such a sweetheart. I have missed my buddy for a while now. RIP my friend.

I vary much enjoyed Frank as a close friend.Weather it was golfing at Beleview or our frequent trips driving for Biggio- Team Auto.He was a hoot,never afraid to offer his opinion.A close neighbor to my daughter offered occasional meetings with myself,wife Mary Louise and Frank who loved to hug the women before telling stories.God speed Frank.Will be sadly missed by me and wife.
