Florence Hibbits 93 of Wintersville died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Carriage Inn in Cadiz, OH. She was born January 6, 1912 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Augustus and Frieda Westfall Diekmann. She is also preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Hibbits; son Robert George Hibbits, Jr. and seven brothers Colly, Gooshy, Frank, Harry, John, Robert and Carl Diekmann; two sisters Paula Diekmann and Rosa Lipke; great-granddaughter Kristyn Hibbits and Daughter-in-Law Betty L. Hibbits. Florence was a member of LaBelle View Church of Christ and Daughters of America. She is survived by four sons John Hibbits of Wintersville, James (Carol) Hibbits of Hopedale, OH, Robert G. Hibbits III and Thomas Allen (Brenda) Hibbits both of TX; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm where services will be held Saturday 10 am with Minister Tom Arehart officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Memorial donations may be made to the Jefferson County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
