Obituary For Fern I. Nevlis

Fern I. Nevlis, 83, of Wintersville, OH died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Valley Hospice North.  She was born in Steubenville on August 10, 1928 a daughter of the late Charles W. and Martha M. Collmar Loy.  Fern was a member of Hawthorne Garden Club, Jefferson County Homemakers Alumni and Survivors and Seekers.  Preceded in death by her husband Robert B. “Bob” Nevlis; son Michael A. Nevlis, a daughter; five brothers and five sisters and a grandson Tony Ellis.  Fern is survived by a daughter; brother Dean Loy and sister Herbetta Greenburg both of Florida.  Services will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to Martha Manor, 408 N. 5th Street, Steubenville, OH.

    My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Fern's daughter, Uncle Dean and Aunt Herbetta. I am Turner and Mary Loy's daughter. I had not seen Aunt Fern for a few years. The last time I saw her was in Riesbeck's where I work as a cashier. I tried to call a few times and got no answer. I would have liked to talk to her about the family history again as I had once. There are not many left to tell any stories.

    I wish to send my love to the family. I am the daughter of Don & Pauline Phillips. We usually met at Aunt Mary Loy's house, or at the family picnics. She will be missed alot because now there will no more family get-to-gethers! I am so sorry for your loss! love to all
