Evelyn Marie Dew, 91, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Steubenville, died Friday, December 25, 2009 at Forest Glen Nursing Home. She was born March 12, 1918 in Steubenville a daughter of the late Sherd & Edna Thorley Randolph. She was a member of Bloomingdale U.P. Church and Toronto Chapter 215 Order of Eastern Star.Preceding Evelyn in death were her husbands Ivan H. Wallace and Frank S. Dew; two brothers Earl & H. Dean Randolph; and sister Florence Whitehouse. A loving mother and grandmother, Evelyn is survived by two sons Roger (Nancy) Wallace of Wakeman, Ohio and Gordon (Barbara) Wallace of Springfield, Ohio; three grandchildren Erin Wallace of Raleigh, NC and Brian Wallace & Alison Wallace both of Columbus, Ohio; and one sister Maxine (Jim) Gorby of Steubenville.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. William Philips, her nephew, officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Knob Prairie UCC Building Fund, 203 West Main St., Enon, OH 45323.
