Evelyn M. Colley Campbell, 95, of Bloomingdale known as “Evie” by her friends at Gables Care Center, went home to be with the Lord after being ill for some time. She was born on March 16, 1920 in Barnesville, OH the daughter of the late Samuel and Olive Carpenter Colley. Evelyn was a member of LaBelle View Church of Christ. She so enjoyed her church family and was past president of the women’s Sunday School Class. She had worked for Bond Bakery and later retired from Mr. Wiggs in Steubenville. Evelyn loved to watch the Steelers football games and enjoyed youth baseball. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wesley R. Campbell on January 3, 1988; three brothers Calvert, Delbert and Willard Colley; sister Gladys Radar; grandson Norman Putnam, Jr. on August 5, 2001 and his wife Lisa A. Putnam on March 31, 2012; son-in-law Norman Putnam, Sr. on June 7, 2010. Evelyn leaves behind her son Lee (Donna) Campbell of San Diego, CA; daughter Teresa (Bill) Campbell Roe of Richmond, OH; son Harold Campbell of Aiken, SC; daughter Maxine (Hugh) Campbell Schultz of Richmond, OH; daughter Beverly Campbell of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren Conner, Stacy, Steven, Heather, Melissa, Lisa and Jennifer; 9 great grandchildren Holden, Norman III, Hannah, Brian, Jonathan, Paige, Brian, Matthew and Hunter; 1 great great grandson Nicholas. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from Noon until time of services at 2p.m. with Rev. Jay Loucks officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to LaBelle View Church of Christ, 301 Ohio Street, Steubenville, OH.

Terry, your mother has quite a legacy. Even though she had a long and fulfilling life I know you still feel a sense of loss at her death.
