Sandy Day
Hi It is very sad to learn of Evelyn's passing. I worked for her at the bank for several years and recall her patience. She was one of the smartest women in the bank in the 1960's when I worked with her. If you had any bookeeping questions you could go to her and be assured to get the right answer. When I wrote the UniBank History in 1995 she (and Jane) were invaluable in giving me banking history. My condolences to the family. She taught me a lot about banking. Dear Stephen & Irene, Our condolences on Aunt Evelyn's passing. She was much loved by many including us! We'll miss her but will not forget her. We never knew anyone so cheerful and uncomplaining about life as she was. God Bless you both, Sincerely, Jim & Lee

To Jim Higgins, I was sorry to hear of your great-aunt Evelyn's passing. You were very good to her over the years and I'm sure she appreciated everything you did for her. Although I only met her once or twice, I could tell she was a very special lady. I also enjoyed hearing the stories of her uncanny ability to find teller outages and her ability to "balance" the bank. I'm sure she will be missed. From your friend Jim in St. Clairsville

I have lots of good memories of Evelyn, such as her driving the old '51 Ford, taking Steve and others home from Ohio State. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing, but she had a long and wonderful life.
