Evelyn I. Jackson, 78, of Steubenville, OH died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Trinity West Medical Center. She was born in Unionport, OH on August 9, 1927 a daughter of the late Ed and Ina Jackson Riley. Preceding Evelyn in death were her husband Leonard A. Jackson; brother Donald Riley; and sister Edith Swearingen. Evelyn was a teachers assistant at the Christian Academy. She was a member of Wintersville Baptist Temple where she played the piano for many years. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Karen (Dan) Wingate of Wooster, OH; son Wayne Jackson of York, PA; five grandchildren Tina, Danny, and Tammy Wingate and Erin and Patrick Jackson; four great grandchildren; two brothers William Riley of Richmond, OH and John Riley of Steubenville, OH; and sister Catherine Wilson of Steubenville, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday at Wintersville Baptist Temple from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Rev.
