Eva W. Reading 89 of Henderson, NC, formerly of Steubenville, died Monday, July 25, 2005 of natural causes at her daughter’s residence in Henderson, NC. Eva was born September 26, 1915 a daughter of the late Clarence and Iola Westbrook Payne. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Henderson, NC and LaBelle Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Steubenville Lodge #414. She retired from the Ohio Bell Co. in Steubenville. Eva was preceded in death by her first husband William L. Barr in 1969 and her second husband Harry J. Reading in 1986. Eva is survived by daughter Margaret (Michael) Kidder of Henderson, NC; brother Clark E. (Mary) Payne of Steubenville, OH; sister Letha (Robert) Mooris of Indianapolis, IN; 2 grandchildren Mitchell and Margaret Lindsay Kidder; stepson Paul Reading; and 4 stepdaughters Ellen Wenth, Ann (Ray) Salmon, Nancy (Carter) Good and Janet (Steve) Lutz. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Thursday from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm. Rev. Richard Ferrrell to officiate.
