Eugene M. Bonham 88 of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday evening, April 2, 2004 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville on December 4, 1915 a son of the late James R. and Hazel D. Sawyer Bonham. He was a member of Wintersville U.M. Church; Golden Boys; Masonic Lodge 45 F&AM; Steubenville Shrine Club and Scottish Rite. Gene was preceded in death by his first wife E. Maxine Hendrix Bonham; one son Richard E. Bonham on May 3, 2003; and a brother James E. Bonham. Surviving are his wife Wilma L. Merritt Barr Bonham; two sons Robert D. (Judith) Bonham of Londonderry, NH and Thomas J. (Catherine) Bonham of Steubenville; one stepson James W. Barr of Steubenville; one stepdaughter Debby (George R.) Barnette of Wintersville; six grandchildren Kim and Todd Bonham, Jeff and Traci Barnette, Tiffany Barr and Kristen Bonham; and two great grandchildren Sean and Trista Bonham. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.; where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Contributions may be made to Wintersville U.M. Church Memorial Fund. Masonic services 7:30 p.m. Monday.
