Etta M. Dye, 85, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Valley Hospice Care Center North. She was born December 30, 1925 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Jasper and Alma Long Starr, Sr. She was a member of the former Calvary Methodist Church. Preceding Etta in death were her husband Gerald A. Dye, Sr.; brother Jasper W. Starr, Jr., two sisters Alma Dever and Leah Oller; 1 grandson Christopher Dye; four great grandsons Jamar Snyder, Angelo Talbott and twins Ashton and Caleb Talbott and a great granddaughter Laken Talbott. Surviving are two sons Gerald “Jerry” (Anita) Dye, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL and Danny Dye of Mingo Junction, OH; two daughters Judy Lukasik of Tampa, FL and Debbie (Larry) Talbott of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister Bonnie Dilley of Tennessee; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClave Funeral Home), 611 North Fourth St., Steubenville on Monday 6 – 8 p.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Tommy Mills officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.

I am so sorry. I got to know Etta at Bolgers Country Club Manor where my Mom lives too. Etta was so kind and friendly, my Mom enjoyed getting to talk with her. I will pray for your family.
