Obituary For Esther Louise Wojciechowski

Esther Louise Wojciechowski passed away on November 30, 2020, at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville in Steubenville, OH.

She was born in McKeesport, PA, on April 13, 1941. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Esther was preceeded in death by her husband, Donald R. Wojciechowski Sr.; her parents, John R. DaBaldo and Mary C. Viellella DaBaldo; and great-grandson, Aiden M. McGinnis.

Esther is survived by her children, Margaret M. McGinnis of Wintersville, OH, Donald R. Wojciechowski Jr. of Columbus, OH, and Kathryn D. Wojciechowski of Wintersville, OH; her eight grandsons and nine great-grandchildren. Her uncle, Mark DaBaldo, and several cousins that were more like siblings to her.

Esther spent 14 years as a mentor in the Indian Creek School District at Bantam Ridge and Wintersville Elementary schools. This volunteerism brought her so much joy and pride.

At her request, there will be no visitation. Final arrangements are being handled by Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, OH. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

To the Family of Esther,I was so sad to hear that Esther passed away. I talked with her not too long ago. I have fond memories of her helping my students with reading and spelling at Wintersville Elementary for many years. She was a very kind, caring person . My dear cousin Esther. I am saddened that you have passed on; yet I know that you are in better place and surrounded by the Lord's Angels to provide the comfort and peace you so richly earned. My Bride, Marlene, is waiting there. Marlene and you shared many similar health issues during your struggles. Please hug her for me. I will miss our hour long phone calls and your feistiness while extolling our love and respect for our Patriarch, Uncle Mark. For those that aren't aware, you and I are almost siblings since your father, John and my father, Paul are brothers and your mother Aunt Carmen and my mother, Rose are are sisters. That's special.
