Ernest E. “Gene” Cattrell, 84, of Steubenville died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Trinity West ER. He was born in Toronto, OH on November 27, 1928 a son of the late Frank and Eva Bender Cattrell. Gene retired from Titanium Metals as an electrician and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the PNA and American Legion Post 86, Toronto, OH. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Bill Cattrell. Gene is survived by his wife Katherine “Kate” Krager Cattrell and his son Ron (Robin) Cattrell of Toronto, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH Thursday from 6-8p.m., where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10a.m. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside services.
