Emory L. Lash, 87, of Wintersville, Ohio died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at his residence. He was born March 7, 1919 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Charles F. and Effie Mayne Lash. Emory retired from Weirton Steel Co. coke plant and served in the Army during WWII. He attended Colonial Baptist Church and Sunset Club. Preceding Emory in death were his son Dean Lash on July 4, 2005; four brothers Charles, Edward, Fred & Wallace; and two sisters Margaret Zook & Helen Creamer. His hobbies included cooking, quilting and gardening. Emory is survived by his wife Alice M. Alban Lash; brother Leo (Mary) Lash; sister Marjorie Creamer; many nieces, nephews and special friends. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd. Wintersville, OH on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. On Thursday, friends may call at Colonial Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. with Rev. Randy Sells officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben. Ohio Valley Veterans will conduct services at the graveside.
