Elsie Mae Kough 86 of Mingo Junction died Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at Trinity West, Steubenville. She was born February 4, 1917 in Indiana County, PA the daughter of the late William and Mable Campbell Lichtenfels. Preceded in death by her husband Rev. Lester Lewis Kough on April 3, 1991 (whom she married on July 22, 1936), two sisters and seven brothers. She held church memberships with Rush Run Chapel and Kolmont Church. She was active in Joy Bells at Rush Run and Kum Joyne Us at Kolmont. She was a licensed practical nurse, handling private cases. She is survived by her children Betsy (Robert) Slivka and Beverly Taylor both of Steubenville, Judith (Guy) Cone of Portland, Oregon, James (Wilma) Kough of Richmond, OH., Jackie (Frank) Featner of Mingo Junction, Cherrie Kough of Toronto, OH., Trudy Kay (Thomas) Kenny of Brilliant, OH., a brother, Dean (Helen) Lichtenfels of Florida and a sister, Margie Wilmes of New Castle, PA. 15 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Friends may call at the Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Mel Timberlake and Rev. Sam Retzer to officiate. Burial at New Alexandria Cemetery. Memorial contributions directed to the American Lung Association.
