Dear Esther & Donald...and Ruth Ann and Allen and families: Sending prayers for comfort during this very trying time. From all I have heard, your sister has fought a courageous battle. And now she has found victory in her faith walk. Be thankful for all the memories you have for no one can take them away. Take comfort in the direction you know so well, and that comfort will be provided.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Ella was a wonderful person and friend. I am sure it is very hard right now but her pain is now over and she is in heaven with her mom and dad. Hard to believe we went to school together from kindergarten through college. We certainly did have a lot of fun at the University of Akron and I couldn't have asked for a better college roommate She was a true blessing and will be missed by her friends and family

My sincere sympathies go out to the Paulman family. I worked with Ella at JCC, but for Ella I think her time there was more a labor of love. She touched the lives of so many students. Her compassion and generosity over the years was inspirational. I remember the conversations we had (dating back to 1996, I believe). Her gentle spirit filled me and reinforced my desire to teach at a community college. Ella Paulman was one of those rare individuals who will be remembered not from the noise she made out in the world, but from her quiet dedication and desire to be more of a giver than a receiver. That seems to me to be the mark of a true teacher and leader and friend. Perhaps what I mean to say is she made a differenceevery day. Thank you, Ella. Peace be with you.

To Ella's family: Please accept my sympathy on the passing of Ella, and please accept my dearest apology for being unable to attend her visitation. I am so upset that I didn't get to pay my respects, but I didn't know the visitation hours would be on the same day as they were placed in the paper. Therefore, I missed them. I knew Ella throughout school, and would visit her from time to time at Jeff Tech. I also used to pick strawberries down Goulds and would talk to Ella and your Mom. Ella was on the quiet side but would open up to a small group of friends. She was very serious about her schoolwork, but always had time to laugh with us. I remember one time in our Algebra II class, we were all talking about not having any luck, and Ella in a joking manner stated "With my luck, I'll marry a man with the last name of Phunt. Then my name will be Ella Phunt." We all laughed and told her how silly and funny she was. Another time she was standing by her desk pretending to dance, and she earned the name "Ella Jeanne, the dancing machine." The name stuck. She was a great person, and I know she loved what she did at Jeff Tech. When I would be at Jeff Tech, I would always try to find her. She would always tell me everything she did, and I could tell by the look on her face as well as her enthusiasm, she was so dedicated and motivated to getting others to learn. She sure loved her math, and I would ask her if they offered a computer course for Dummies, because I needed to be in it. She would laugh at my computer stories, because, I'm SO computer illiterate. Well, I guess I'd better stop, but I hope you found some comfort in a couple of my stories. I will greatly miss Ella. The last couple times I saw Ella, she was wearing a bonnet, but I never realized she was SO sick. Had I known, I would have tried to visit her. I was recently talking about Ella to my son's friend whose mom has worked at Jeff Tech for years. I had no idea El

My prayers and sympathies to Ella's family and friends. When I transfered grade school in the second grade, Ella gave me a song book that I still have and will cherish it even more now. We met back up in high school and it was like our friendship was never broken, that was the kind of persoon Ella was. I didn't see her much after high school. but I thought of her often. She is happiest now in eaven with her Lord and family.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Ella's family. I worked with her at JCC. She was the best director of the disabilities office they ever had. I enjoyed her quick smile and encouraging words to me when I needed them. She was such a great inspiration to my daughter, too. She went out of the way to see that the students I worked with and my daughter had everything they needed to be successful at JCC. I will truly miss her. Her pain is finally over and her heavenly mission has begun. I am sure she is rejoicing with her family that has gone on before her. May God bless and comfort all of us that remain here on earth that miss her so deeply.

I am so sorry to hear of Ella's passing. I miss so many things while on the railroad, I knew she was battling and thought of her. She was kind and smart and a great person to talk to. She would never push herself upon you, but she was so open if you wanted to talk. It is far to early to tell her goodbye, but in God's time, we can say hello again.
