Ella Jane Brozka Burns, 89, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on July 7, 2022 at the Villa Royale. She was born on July 14, 1932 a daughter of the late Dick & Katherine Myers Harris.
Ella Jane was a proud graduate of the Ohio Valley School of Nursing and a member the Ohio Valley Alumni Association. She went on to work as a RN at the Ohio Valley Hospital and as Director of Nursing with Lancia Heathcare.
Ella Jane was a Charter member of the Starkdale Presbyterian Church, Starkdale Women’s Association as well as the Woman’s Club of Wintersville. Her hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, gardening and creating beautiful quilts with her church quilting group.
Ella Jane is survived by her husband Robert J. Burns; children Rick (Vicki) Brozka, Joe (Lori) Brozka & Cathy Brozka; brother Raymond Harris; step-daughter Joyce (Buddy) Burns Thomas; four grandchildren Jonathan (Laura) McLean, Carl (Olivia) Brozka, Steven (Julie) Brozka & Jessica Brozka; four step-grandchildren Joey (Shana) Thomas, John Thomas, Kyle Hornaday & Jason Hornaday and fourteen great grandchildren.
Ella Jane is proceeded in death by her first husband Carl Brozka; sister Marge Gelety and step-daughter Stella Burns Hornaday.
Friends may call at Starkdale Presbyterian Church, 4600 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, Ohio on Tuesday July 12, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. until time of services at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Carl Moore officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Starkdale Presbyterian Church, 4600 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville Ohio 43952 or the Urban Mission Ministries, 311 N. 6th Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
